(1) General Maintenance

Do not store or put the instrument under direct sunlight for a long time, especially the LCD display panel. Caution: Sprays, liquids or solvents are not allowed for the instrument or probe to avoid damage to the instrument or the probe.

(2) Cleaning

Check the instrument and probe frequently according to the operating conditions. Fellow the steps to clean the surfaces of the instrument.

Please use a soft cloth to wipe dust on the surface of the instrument and probe. When cleaning the LCD panel, be careful not to scratch the transparent protective film.

Power off the instrument first and wipe the instrument with a soft cloth.Use a mild detergent or water to clean if necessary.

Do not use any abrasive chemical cleaners as they may damage the instrument or the probe.

Warning: Make sure the instrument is completely dry before rebooting. Moisture may cause electrical short-circuit or even personal injury!

Correct settings but no waveform output

1) Check whether the BNC cable is properly connected to the channel output.

2) Check whether the key CH1 or CH2 is turned on.

3) Save the current settings of the instrument to a USB flash drive and "restore factory settings", then restart the instrument.

4) If the instrument still can't work normally, please contact your UNI-T dealer or local offices for support.

1) Check whether the USB flash drive device is working properly.

2) Make sure you are using Flash type USB flash drive device, this instrument does not support hard disk type USB flash drive device.

3) Restart the instrument and insert the USB flash drive again to see if it works properly.

4) If the USB flash drive still can not be recognized, please contact UNI-T dealer or local office and let us serve you.

If the generator still remains blank screen when power on.

1) Check whether the power supply is connected properly.

2) Check whether the power switch on the rear panel is set to "I".

3) Check whether the power switch on the front panel is connected .

4) Restart the instrument.

5) If the instrument still can't work normally, please contact your UNI-T dealer or local offices for support.

Resolution: For example, if the smallest scale on a ruler is 1mm, it means that the smallest measurement that can be obtained is 1mm, and it cannot measure numbers smaller than 1mm. 1mm is its minimum resolution.

Accuracy: Suppose a nominal value of an object is 100mm, but the measured data is 105mm. The difference of 5mm compared to 100mm is the error percentage of accuracy, calculated as (105-100)/100=0.05. Accuracy refers to the error between the measured result and the true value.

Precision: Suppose a nominal value of an object is 100mm, and it is measured 5 times, resulting in measurements of 102mm, 105mm, 106mm, 108mm, and 109mm. The differences between these measurements and the true value of 100mm are relatively small, indicating good precision.

PPM is the abbreviation for part per million. It is used to describe temperature drift value of voltage reference. For voltage reference, 1ppm/℃ refers to the output voltage deviates from its nominal value by one millionth of a degree for every 1°C change in ambient temperature at a reference point (usually 25°C)

For example, a voltafe reference has a nominal value 2.5V and TC is ±10ppm/°C, when the ambient temperature changes by 1°C and 10°C for each change in the base of 25°C, its output voltage will become:

2.5V±10ppm/℃X1℃=2.5V±0.000025V

2.5V±10ppm/℃X10℃=2.5V±0.00025V

Line regulation refers to the effect of the input voltage on the output voltage

Load regulation refers to the effect of load changes on the output voltage

The UTP3300 series has an accuracy of 100mV and 10mA, while the UTP3300-II series has an accuracy of 10mV and 1mA.

The UTP3300-II series has a maximum power of 335W for 3 channels, while the UTP3300TFL-II has a maximum power of 150W for a single channel.

Display resolution refers to the minimum voltage, current digits displayed on the screen.

Programming resolution refers to the minimum settable voltage and current.

Readback resolution refers to the minimum voltage and current readback inside the machine.

Constant current mode：When the current value set by the power supply is less than the current value consumed by the load, the power supply is operating in constant current mode. Ithe setting current value＜Ithe load consuming current value

Constant voltage mode： When the current value set by the power supply is greater than the current value consumed by the load, the power supply is operating in constant voltage mode. Ithe setting current value＞Ithe load consuming current value

Normal phenomenon. Parallel mode open output without loading CH1 cureent display ≤50 characters CH2 ≤3 characters. Within normal range.

The positive and negative voltage outputs are relative to a common reference point. First, connect the positive output terminal of CH1 in series with the negative output terminal of CH2. Select the ground as the reference point and connect both CH1 and CH2 grounds to it. Since the positive terminal is connected to ground at 0 V, use a multimeter to measure the voltage from the negative terminal of CH1 to the reference point—it should read approximately -12 V. Similarly, measure the voltage from the positive terminal of CH2 to the reference point—it should read approximately +12 V.
