In the effective frequency range, the measured value of the true RMS multimeter corresponds to the root mean square value measured by the oscilloscope; the measurement error of the oscilloscope is 3%, and the measurement accuracy of the general multimeter is higher. 

1.The power supply needs to be fully loaded and output;

2.Oscilloscope channel setting: channel coupling is "AC", bandwidth limit is 20MHz, attenuation ratio × 1; probe setting is 1 × file;

3.Adjust the oscilloscope to the appropriate vertical deflection coefficient and time base gear;

4.To avoid interference, a short spring can be used for the grounding terminal, as close as possible to the output terminal of the power supply;

5.It is recommended to measure the peak-to-peak value of ripple through the cursor; 

Due to the influence of environmental factors, the measurement error is too large,

 you can try to use the "self-correction" function of the oscilloscope. 

In order to capture the occasional pulse signal, use single trigger mode for single capture..  In order to prevent the interference signal from being captured, be sure to increase the trigger level appropriately, which can filter out the interference and facilitate the capture of the desired signal.

In the real case, the oscilloscope bandwidth generally refers to a combined bandwidth which is composed by the oscilloscope bandwidth and the probe, the bandwidth is only limited to 6MHz when the probe is in the 1x, if using 1x probe to measure higher than 6MHz  signal will have a great attenuation, the results are accuate  only when turn to the probe to 10X (bandwidth to reach the full bandwidth) . For high frequency signals, the system bandwidth combined of the oscilloscope and probe is less than the bandwidth of either scope of probe, so it is extremely important to choose the right probe for the measurement

±(3% × reading+0.05div) means  the error of the measured voltage value is allowed to be ±3%  the nominal value range multiplied by the error range of the current reading at +0.05 div. One sampling interval refers to the inverse value of the maximum sampling rate of the oscilloscope. For example: 1GS/s of a sampling interval is 1ns which is 1 divided by 1 to the ninth power

The RMS values will be different for different lengths of time on the waveform screen.

For two measured waveforms, if the waveform is shifted to the left or right, the measured result will  change and the RMS value will also change accordingly.

When observing the signal, the channel coupling setting is set in the menu under "CH1/CH2". The function of DC, AC and ground respectively is allow all signals to pass, isolate DC components for processing, processing ground effect. The coupling in the trigger setting is for the trigger system, the trigger coupling determines what component of the signal can transmitted to the trigger circuit, the test signal itself will not be processed. 

Take sine wave as an example: peak-to-peak value=2*peak value，peak-to-peak value=2*1.414*Vrms 

For example：220V AC RMS=220*2.82≈620Vpp

60Vpp=60/2.828≈21Vrms

28.28Vp=28.28/1.414=20Vrms

Real-time sampling：One acquisition captures the entire data of the waveform, real-time sampling is very useful for observing a single signal.

Real-time sampling is particularly suitable for signals with a frequency range of less than half the maximum sampling rate of the oscilloscope. (Sampling signal ≥ 2 times the signal under test)

Equivalent sampling：Equivalent time sampling constructs an image of a repeating signal by capturing a small part of information from each repetition. We may use a sampling frequency which less than twice the frequency of the original signal to perform undistorted sampling, which can also restore the original signal. This is also suitable for sampling and analysis of high frequent signal.

If the generator still remains blank screen when power on.

1) Check whether the power supply is connected properly.

2) Check whether the power switch on the rear panel is set to "I".

3) Check whether the power switch on the front panel is connected .

4) Restart the instrument.

5) If the instrument still can't work normally, please contact your UNI-T dealer or local offices for support.

Correct settings but no waveform output

1) Check whether the BNC cable is properly connected to the channel output.

2) Check whether the key CH1 or CH2 is turned on.

3) Save the current settings of the instrument to a USB flash drive and "restore factory settings",  then restart the instrument.

4) If the instrument still can't work normally, please contact your UNI-T dealer or local offices for support.

1) Check whether the USB flash drive device is working properly.

2) Make sure you are using Flash type USB flash drive device, this instrument does not support hard disk type USB flash drive device.

3) Restart the instrument and insert the USB flash drive again to see if it works properly.

4) If the USB flash drive still can not be recognized, please contact UNI-T dealer or local office and let us serve you.

(1) General Maintenance 

Do not store or put the instrument under direct sunlight for a long time, especially the LCD display panel. Caution:  Sprays, liquids or solvents are not allowed for the instrument or probe  to avoid damage to the instrument or the probe. 

(2) Cleaning 

Check the instrument and probe frequently according to the operating conditions. Fellow the steps to clean the surfaces of the instrument.

Please use a soft cloth to wipe dust on the surface of the instrument and probe. When cleaning the LCD panel, be careful not to scratch the transparent protective film. 

Power off the instrument first and wipe the instrument with a soft cloth.Use a mild detergent or water to clean if necessary.

Do not use any abrasive chemical cleaners as they may damage the instrument or the probe. 

Warning: Make sure the instrument is completely dry before rebooting. Moisture may cause electrical short-circuit or even personal injury!
